Weird obscure bands you like??

According to my family, "weird and obscure" describes a lot of what I listen to, but I think they're overstating the case. For example, I don't think Afro Celt Sound System or Art of Noise are all that obscure or all that weird. Curve is certainly a bit more obscure, but not really that weird. Same with Sounds from the Ground.

Used to be my favorite band when I was 20. I know they won't stay in the great music history, but I still like some of their songs

I actually saw those guys opening up for Jack Bruce of all people.

Level 42 were huge. Not sure where you are, but they ruled the airwaves for quite a few years.
Dan Reed Network were good. Jellyfish are likely the most underrated band ever. You can add Spacehog to that.
Never really got into Kings X (as a Brit, I always read it as "Kings Cross" - A rail terminal, and area of London).

Streetheart was great. If you're going to start with Canadian bands you have to throw in April Wine and Chilliwack. There are a bunch of others that I am sure obscure outside of Canada.
