Severed heads.
I hate when they bring us those.
I have absolutely NO use for them.
Balderdash! They're delicious!

I think He really wanted it gone. (Yep I guy had that title...and was the indirect owner of the other stuffWow, a Jeep.
We were given lobsters at an outdoor BBQ.
Not weird but different & really appreciated.
"A Gig ain't a Gig unless you get fed".
Hee hee. Another cast iron geek I presume? I wonder how many here got your reference? I love my iron, but not in a physical way.Was it a Griswold? LOL
I would say the message depends on how they delivered those eggs:Just a couple of weeks ago we were playing at a wedding at a Farmhouse on Long Island (Not many farmhouses left in suburbia BTW) We got a Dozen farm fresh eggs from the chickens out back as a tip. Still not sure what the message was - they seemed real proud of those chickens.
Thanks for the clarification... I don't think I understand S&M now though. I could see Ol' Blue Eyes in Vegas and leathers but I didn't think they made people bleed everywhereThe verse is about being eaten by "sharks" (really based on a operatic murderer, but in this context S&M, um, practitioners).
I've heard that the, um, most skilled of them can make the "scarlet" billow with appropriate diligence. And if scarlet liquids are involved, billowing all over the place, one should certainly wear gloves to avoid a trace of red. Safety first!

was at a gig & this dude says "it's my wife's birthday & I told she could have anything she wanted & she wants you" oh man where they NOT attractive.
Once I was playing an out of town gig, my wife was with me. During one of the breaks I go and sit next to her at the bar. There's this girl sitting on the other side of me, I realize we both know her from our hometown a few years back.
I say hi, and talk to her for a minute, my wife doesn't notice. Eventually this girl says, "after your done playing you wanna go play in the hot tub at my place?" I lean back, get my wife's attention, and say, "hey look who it is. She live up here now. wanna go to her place an soak in the hot tub after we're done here?"
Unfortunately, she, (my wife, I'm sure the other girl would have been) wasn't game.
In a fantasy land, no.Unfortunately nothing.
You would've paid for that experience, about a thousand different ways.
It's from "Mack the Knife." Kurt Weil/Bertolt Brecht. I think most folks consider the Louis Armstrong version as definitive - Louis's vocals and sweet, swingy trumpet solo perfectly express the contradiction between an upbeat melody with ascending modulations, and an ugly ugly survey of the human spirit.I love Sinatra but this went over my head - care to enlighten me? I'm looking up song meanings after I post this
Did you really have to bring that up? I spent years surpressing the memory of polyester jump suits and loud print rayon/polyester shirts. Oh, and there were the platform shoes and the Fro hairdos. It's from "Mack the Knife." Kurt Weil/Bertolt Brecht. As for the weirdest thing from a gig? Other than sex, drugs, food and liquor, I'd have to go with some of the peculiar "uniforms" that flourished on the Disco, R&B and Latin circuits in the 70's. At one time I had TWO different electric-blue tuxedos sitting in my closet, from two different bands, along with a couple of bizarre polyester jumpsuits and an assortment of loud shirts made from some horrible synthetic material. Those jumpsuits were execrable - our poor drummer was a heavy, heavy guy who hit hard through several sets of pulsing disco, R&B and fusion - he needed one or two of us to help him peel off that sweat-soaked sheet of polyester at the end of most gigs.
Gotta add the most pathetic band uniforms ever seen - there was a porno star named Andrea True who had a disco hit - "More, more more, how do you like your love?" Her poor band wore jeans and white tee shirts that said "Andrea True Connection" on the front, and the band member's first name on the back. Shades of the Mickey Mouse Club! Of course, there I was in a red polyester jump suit with a white treble clef stitched across my heart - who am I to talk?
The question is do you still have hair, the P-bass and the SVT?Did you really have to bring that up? I spent years surpressing the memory of polyester jump suits and loud print rayon/polyester shirts. Oh, and there were the platform shoes and the Fro hairdos.
