What’s your excuse for missing a note?

I keep all my notes in a lockable ammo box and only take them out for Important Gigs.
They very seldom go missing, but a lot of times you can get replacements on sale at The WalMarks.

When you have every intention of hitting a note, but, for some reason, it either doesn’t happen or you play the wrong one. Kinda like missing the point, I suppose.
yeah: i did miss your point: you were being literal!

me: i don't have excuses for an occasional flub. maybe: **it happens.

And for the record - playing the wrong note because you are inept is NOT jazz. And playing the wrong note twice doesn't fool anyone; they just think you are too stupid to learn from your mistakes. ;)
Yeah, the "play the same mistake twice" approach really doesn't work as well as some people seem to think. Whenever I hear someone do it I cringe. :D
