No, it's just a non-starter concept for me. There's no way I could pay for all the books I read, never mind that the majority are unavailable on Kindle anyway.
The only thing that was pre-loaded on my Kindle when I got it in January was a dictionary and the user guide. If it's different with the Kindle Fire, then most likely it would be some free, out-of-copyright classics like Treasure Island.

In keeping with my latest interest in all things Ancient Rome, I am presently reading How Rome Fell: Death of a Superpower, by Adrian Goldsworthy. My previous readings on the Roman Empire included Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman Republic, by Tom Holland, The Story of Rome from the Earliest Times to the End of the Republic, by Arthur Gilman, Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire, by Simon Baker, Ancient Rome: From the Earilest Times Down to 476 A.D., by Robert Franklin Pennell, and finally Andivius Hedulio Adventures of a Roman Nobleman in the Days of the Empire, by Edward Lucas White. All read on my Amazon Kindle.

It is a memoir of a journalist in pre-desert storm Iraq. Total cold sweat, page turning stuff.
It's intense, to say the least, and made even more so by the fact that Karol and I grew up together.

it's a good introduction the Ancient Rome. It was written in 1890, so it's a bit archaic at times, but it's a free book, so no complaints there! After reading this you can go and get a more contemporary book about Rome, then you'll be on your way to being a Rome addict, just like me!

Inheritance by Chris Paolini. Looks like I'll have to break down and read Night of the Hawk as I'm a big Dale Brown fan. Some more Clive Cussler is also on my list to read, as well.
