If you like the show you'll like the book. It's an easy read.
It's in my Amazon cart, but I feel guilty pulling the trigger on it, for some reason.

Just finished World War Z. Quick read, and good follow up to the Zombie Survival Guide.

In keeping with horror themes, I'm currently reading Call of the Cthulu and Other Weird Stories by H.P. Lovecraft. ComicCon had a panel on his life last year and finally convinced me to do what Metallica song titles never could.

The Devil's Guard, by George Elford.

It's about the French Foreign Legion using Nazi SS troops in Vietnam. Basically, instead of sentencing the SS troops to the gallows they were able to fight for the FFL as a sentence. It is a lost piece of history I have never heard of. I'm sort of amazed that the FFL stooped to that level just years after WWII and allowed them to do the things they did.

This is coming, an incredibly creepy story. One of the interesting things about wars and social upheavals is how psychotic criminals exploit the confusion to commit dreadful crimes nobody notices:

Just read "The Running Man," was just trying to go to sleep a couple nights ago, so I pulled out my copy of the Bachman books, then bam! It was hours later and I had just finished the last page, officially making my original plan a giant failure. What probably really grabbed me was the suspense, minus the... well I don't want to say filler, but all that crap King usually stuffs his books with, creating more of an even flow throughout the book. Has easily become one of my favorites of his.

Also nothing like the Schwarzenegger movie, at all, and I feel that a close adaption of the book would be great for theaters.
