Finally got this in and started:

Amazing story about an episode no one seems to pay much attention to today. Well-written.

RIOTOUS ASSEMBLY- by Tom Sharpe
&
JINGO- by Terry Pratchett

those have got to be the two funniest people writing today (or they may both be dead by now, but they are still hillarious.)

anybody who likes british humo(u)r, i recommend all books by these two authors.

and while I am not reading it currently, if you DO like british humor, then please let me recommend the Flashman series by George MacDonald Frazer.

all of these writers have put out a series of books, and I bet if you read one book by each, you won't be able to stop till you read them all. start with earliest books, as that is their best, done when they were relatively young, but by all means read and enjoy.

I'm reading this:

It's a pretty easy read and very interesting. The guy has had a pretty incredible life so far.

How did this turn out? His account of becoming one of the youngest to summit Mt. Everest was one of the best I've come across. He did a great job of conveying the passion and frustrations faced. So many of the accounts of summitting are entirely technical in nature, so The Kid Who Climbed Everest was quite refreshing.
