Finished this a couple of weeks ago.

Just finished this:

I really starting to like Steve Rzasa more and more. Especially his Sci Fi and Steampunk. He doesn't hide the fact that he is a Christian and that has an influence on his writing. No matter what his spiritual beliefs are I would still like his writing. He is just a good writer. Broken light has great characters. A former merchant, a reformed? female pirate captian, spys, assassins, ace pilots, ex wives, and special ops troops . Good plot and fast pacing.
I just got this one:

Looks good so far. In the near future all cars are auto piloted and it is illegal to drive your own car. The main character is tasked with stopping illegal drivers. I already like the two main characters. Fast paced and good dialogue among the characters.

This, from 1997 when it was current,
is, today, in places, an interesting grab-bag of accidental history - of who was getting it right - in the context of current affairs, 2017-style. Trend's in the title - players in the margins :)

The Guns of the South. It's a combination science fiction and alternative history novel (was marketed as alternative history). Basically, some North Africans from 2014 get a time machine and go back to the Civil War and aid the Confederates. Supposedly a 5 part series that extends an alternative universe which extends to the 21st century.

Weird, and not at all what I expected - just under halfway into the first book. But very good. It's like biting into a really good chocolate with an odd filling - not sure what is in there, but whatever it is, it's really delicious.

Just finished re-reading "Lord Of The Rings" after a 40 year break. Just starting "Beren and Luthien". Also just resumed reading Vernor Vinge's "Fire Upon The Deep"

my favorite was Wizard and Glass

I recently started reading Dark Tower VII & couldn't get into it. As I was reading the liner notes I realized I also had Wizard & Glass, so I immediately quit reading DT7, LOL!

Marilu Henner's book has been in my collection for ages & ironically I forgot I had it:

It's made me think, because she claims having a super-memory has helped her make the right decisions & it would help any human make better decisions if they had a better memory.
Right away I thought back on all the times I had a bad feeling about making a certain decision but still did it anyway, only to regret it. I'm sure that was my memory trying to warn me, but it was too vague.
