An not a very good one. But I'm probably not in their "target" audience. It's a commercial.
I agree, but for what exactly? That ain’t gonna sell an album, Fender gear or a vacation to Southern California. It's a commercial.
i don't play trumpet but i know for a fact his trumpet playing is horrible so.......Can anyone here upload their corporate endorsement video to compare this to?
was he trolling with that trumpet stuff? he did that in a stadium for crying out loud. he's not trollingHe's trolling IMO. He's not an idiot he knows what most people expect when they hear him play.
i would have stopped after the first 30 blunders and restartedMy point is simple. The majority of people here including myself are puzzled by Flea's performance in this video. We are not taking into account what goes into these videos. Flea's availability, The short amount of time they had to shoot it in the location they were in. The marketing teams and executives making decisions....etc. It's a commercial!. We all know Flea is good, we know the product is good. So let's see the way a corporation has compromised your talent to sell an item, I bet it wouldn't be to your liking either
It’s a poor mechanic who blames the toolsIt reinforces me not wanting a Fender
No just bad tools......(dripping sarcasm both times......and I own a Fender)It’s a poor mechanic who blames the tools
Who could hear the Fender, anyway? All I heard was a lot of processing. Putting a guy behind a huge pedal board and calling that an ad for the bass is kind of weird. Admittedly I didn't listen to the whole thing but, from the comments here, I doubt it got better. It’s a poor mechanic who blames the tools
Flea has sounded horrible on more than one occasion, most notably, playing the national anthem at a Laker game.
Why any company, but especially the aristocrats at Fender, would post that video, I have no idea.
His friend Koko could have done better.
