I don't like or dislike flea. His bass lines with rhcp always seem fine in the context of the song, but I think he's a fairly sloppy player for the most part.
I loved it! That's how a bass only version of "Maggot Brain" SHOULD sound!
I'll qualify this by saying I've never heard the original Maggot Brain, but this was simply bloody awful.
If I'd never heard of Flea before this, I would take a LOT of persuading to ever listen to him again.
And yes, I am a RHCP fan, and have always thought Flea a great part of the band.

Weird thread. Its just Flea solo'ing over his version with the bass line having fun with effects. Some parts were meh but sounds Frusciante-esqe in trying to feel it out. Don't hate it enough to bash on the internet
