Getting myself ready for Bull Run Beerfest today! An Oktoberfest beer sampling event for northern Virginia. I will be sure to drink many many brews by the end of the day. Report back later which stood out as the most unique.

Final report: tried 10 beers at the festival
Two favorites were Long Trail pumpkin ale and Corcoran Gray Ghost IPA.
Only beer I didn't like was Wild Wolf honey ale.
Honorable mention to the seven other brews for contributing to a nice buzz and a good time

as much as I think Rickard's dark is a pretty bad porter - Rickard's white is actually damn good. Of course, I've yet to find a witbier that I haven't liked.

Look for the shipyard "Smashed pumpkin" not the standard pumpkinhead.

as much as I think Rickard's dark is a pretty bad porter - Rickard's white is actually damn good. Of course, I've yet to find a witbier that I haven't liked.

I won't disagree, Rickards Dark is ordinary at best.
