What brand has all your loyalty?

I was quite loyal to Carvin for a number of years - I had 3 of them at one point. I still think they're one of the highest quality manufacturers out there, but they quit making the basses I liked - the Bunny series and then the Bromberg S model. Their lineup has gone to stuff I'm not real suped up about like the fanned fret thing that they seem to be converting everything to. I'm just kind of not real charged up about them anymore.

The only other brand I got really fanatically loyal to was G&L. I only owned one - my '00 L2K fretless (may it R.I.P.), but that bass spoiled practically everything else for me. It was the tactical thermonuclear weapon of bass guitar and it still is, IMO.

I bought a Fender for the first time in decades a couple weeks ago (jaco pastorius) and it has restored my liking for Fender. They're upping their game and quality quite a bit and now if you want a Jazz or Precision bass, you can finally buy an actual Fender Jazz or Precision again, and get a top quality build. 20 years ago, you had to go to a better made copy if you wanted the best Jazz or Precision you could get. But not anymore.

But G&L I think is the closest to my heart still. They're also true Fenders suped up by Leo Fender himself. I plan to get another one day, after I recover from buying the jaco.....

At one time I really stuck closely with Genz Benz on the amp side of things. Now I have zero loyalty in terms of really leaning heavily toward a brand when buying something.

Brands I have mildly warm feelings toward: G&L, Mesa

Brands I own at the moment: Digitech, Markbass, Darkglass, Broughton, G&L, Fender, Mesa, Bergantino

Sadowsky for basses.
Bergantino for Amps.
It took me many decades and many, many purchases and sales (some recent, especially the basses) to figure this out. A third Sadowsky is one the way, when Roger and Co re-open after the Coronavirus situation.

For basses, I can't say I have brand loyalty, especially since I have been playing for under two years. But I do have a preference for Fenders (and their cheap red-headed stepson Squier).

For amps, I like the sound of the Rumbles so that is what I have but seriously checking out Ampeg and Aguila for additions to my small collection.

Now before I got into bass, I played blues harmonica for a long time. I tried out most of the different makes of harps and always came back to the Hohner Special 20s. That would be the only brand I am actually loyal to.

Fender has mine. An obvious choice. They have everything that I need. I'm at:

American Standard Jazz Bass with rounds
American Standard P Bass with flats
Elite 5 string with rounds
77 Music Master with tapewounds
Mexican fretless with flats

what company are you committed to?

As for instruments, Fender just by legacy alone! G&L been good to me so far! I'm guessing any company leo has touched.
As for electronics, Tech21nyc has impressed me, given me quality & tone I love!
for Hardware, I really like Hipshot, great Quality,Reliable AF!
for Strings, I used to be a Rotosound guy, but switched to DR strings. I have recently become A loyal DR strings guy. I like their variety & innovation (forward thinking). really good Quality( never had a bad string:) their strings fit my style!
for pickups, I like seymour Duncan, although I've been tempted to try other brands, but not after giving SD the first chance. Rarely disappointed.
A couple of companies I 'd like to endorse, because of their great customer service are Warmoth & Best bass gear, they both are super helpful, & knowledgeable! and sell great stuff! especially Warmoth for parts, I'm a avid DIYer, love modding my basses, these 2 companies enable my endless tinkering! I've built & modded many basses! experimenting with different parts all the time! these stores have a great selection of gadgets & hardware. Warmoth parts are very high Quality! very impressive & trustworthy. worth mentioning from my experience!

Loyalty is a tough nut, as QC can wildly vary from unit to unit...that said:

- Every Guild Bass and acoustic 6 string I own have owned is an absolute gem in sound, craftsmanship, and durability.
- Ashly made some astonishingly high end things in the 80s-90s, to wit their BP41 pre and SC50, SC52 compressors...
- I own one device, work with people who have others, from the Mesa Boogie line. Their products are impeccable

Bragg organic apple cider vinegar. I've tried all the rest, but Bragg is the best.

And Asics sneakers. Those fit me best. I've put all kinds of sneakers on my feet, and Asics are the one.

Oh, you meant bass gear? None, really. I used to be brand loyal to Fodera strings, but I can't afford them any more so I'm seeking out a new brand.

Valenti & Moollon 5-strings, G&L and vintage Fender 4-strings, GK amps, Audiokinesis cabs.

Oh, and I'm pretty loyal to my own homemade unlined maple-board fretless jazz with Bart preamp & Lane Poor pickups ;).

Loyalty, yes. ...but ALL my loyalty? That's a high bar, I'd say.
