My wife got me a SteamLink with Steam Controller.

My daughter got me Robot Turtles. That's a board game for us to play together. Really that was my wife since my daughter is almost 3.

My parents bought me a book on repairing electrical stuff (that I actually wanted) and an LL Bean gift card.

So I decided to get myself a few things off eBay View attachment 759290 I've owned both of these before, the Ibanez Chorus is actually the exact one I sold earlier this year to the seller, so now its back I'm also awaiting a DOD FX25B from the classifieds here!!

I decided to get away from the Source Audio stuff as they'd *almost* get me there sonically but never 100%, so back to a mostly analog board! I couldn't afford to just buy these so I had to sell a few things to afford them, but I know what to expect from these so this next year I should be happier with my tone with these tried and true gems!!

It's an Electric Upright Bass. It has a standard 3/4 neck, complimented by position markers, which seriously come in handy if you are experiencing issues with monitoring in a live setting. Almost but not quite an upright sound. Can be somewhat achieved with the use of a preamp.

I'll use it to cover some of the Swing tunes and traditional jazz tunes my band covers.

The bass is currently strung with NS Design/D'Addario traditional strings, which have a great balance for both pizzicato and arco work.

I do, I play with a metal band called Leviathan in town(one guy in Honolulu, another in Waianae, another in Kaneohe)... My main gig is the 25th ID band on Schofield though playing pop stuff and big band!

I'm not sure what took me so long to get it, since I remember looking at it when the Millennium Edition was released 15 years ago, but I was strictly an electric player then and found other books more appealing for my specific needs. Last night and this morning I worked on some of the open-string arco etudes (string crossing exercises) with the bow and I'm already finding them enlightening.

I used to have a CR4M, and sold it after realizing it sounded pretty much just like the ZON Sonus 5/1 I had.

It is a 4004 Laredo with the bridge pickup moved back and the neck has 4003S features (white TRC, Schaller open back tuning keys, and fingerboard dots).
