Good idea rather than have 40 NBD for Christmas threads. Well, I had a busy Christmas for myself as well. I no longer have a SO to buy my gear, not that mine ever really did anyway. Well any who, just picked this up today at a small guitar shop in Woodbridge, NJ.
Used MIM P-Bass in Sunburst. The neck is unbelievable, and the tone is just amazing.

I was cleaning her up and re-stringing her...
I was going to buy one of those, they are my favorite Pedullas, but I got sidetracked with a few ZONs.
Not as such... I mean, unless you can use a lump of coal to play a bass guitar.

Yamaha RBX775 and a ton of rain.
The color was exactly what I was looking for, and I LOVE the blanked-out fretboard, the 3d headstock, and the blue/black color scheme. The tone is pretty bright and cutting but still plenty warm. I absolutely love the neck, as well. It has some shoulders, but enough roundness to not give me cramps like an Ibanez neck.
Only problems I have is the slight hum with pickups in the middle position, and the pretty loud hum when each pickup is individually selected. Nothing major, though, since I play in the middle position primarily. I also don't notice a tone difference with the preamp activated, but the tone is perfect as is, so no skin off my back.

yeah I've been posting on a few places here. This site is great and I am excited to share pics haha.
GCGC - you all know what they look like, so no need for a pic. I'm spending it today on a clip-on tuner and a pedalboard cable kit.
I ordered a Warmoth P neck from the showcase last night (6401's twin), it will go along with the showcase P body that I'm waiting for. A simple, hand-rubbed, oil finish will be patiently applied to it after arrival, then the machine holes will be filled with 3 Hipshot HBs and a BT. Headstock painted to match the body would have been a nice touch and pleased me, but they won't sell me the paint, and it's not worth $130 (and the wait), to me, for them do it.

Those things are super useful. I bought the fender brand one a while back. It's amazing how much easier it is to work on a guitar when you simply have a mat and neck cradle to set it on. One of the best little investments I've made in my craft, next to a Cruz tools set.
I tried to find specifics, but no joy. Perhaps pull it, measure it, and compare to Invalid Link Removed (Mighty-Mite is also Fender spec)?My wife had been asking me for weeks/months what I'd like for Christmas. Of course, she was asking after the G.A.S. had subsided. After narrowing it down and doing a "root cause analysis" with my wife, I got an ESP LTD Vintage 214 in natural ash. It's beautifully constructed. My only gripe is the neck. Apparently I'm not a P-bass neck guy. It feels too fat for me. It's not terrible. I'm just not used to it.
Does anyone know if a Might Mite neck will fit one of these basses? I noticed that the ESP has 1 more fret. What is a fret between friends?
