Today (well, technically, last night) I learned that Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra made a Christmas special in 1967 called "The Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra Family Christmas Show."

That some people THRIVE on drama. We had a simple thanksgiving meal all planned. Who was bringing what. Time, location. 8 or 9 people. My wife had 20 + calls/texts concerning the meal Thanksgiving day.

Why does Thanksgiving, in particular, seem to carry with it an open invitation for family to behave in the most thoughtless, impolite, boorish, uncharitable, and indelicate ways ever imagined?
My mother went to the trouble to prepare the Traditional Dinner, my step-sister... Vegan step-sister... asked if she could bring something to "heat up" for herself and her family. Mom, wishing to avoid the prescribed Thanksgiving skullduggery, obliged. So, when my step-sister arrived she proceeded to cook (from scratch) the Vegan Thanksgiving Meal (whatever the **** that is). AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, the Vegan "meal" was ready.
Who makes people wait an hour and a half for this kind of $#*&?
