What else do you play? If anything

sang with parents everywhere we went for as long as I can remember
took up piano at age 6 (1963)
trumpet at 9
guitar at 10
bass and drums at 15, knew that year that bass would be my main instrument.
played drums as a hobby since 15

My first bass (1969 Fender Precision Bass sunburst/rosewood) belonged to my high school and it was an extended loan (1 year) after which I bought a new 1975 Fender Precision fretless natural w/maple neck/fingerboard, so my first year I learned the bass doing traditional jazz standards and my second year was just learning to play a fretless... Today I am 57 and play mostly 4 and 5 string acoustic and electric fretted and fretless bass guitars including a great stanty fret Dingwall Combustion.

I've been a percussionist for many decades now. I started on kit, but now mostly hand and latin percussion.

Just a few months ago I got myself my own bass and started learning. I really love playing bass and am planning on building my own bass this year.

I play guitar first.....
Electric guitar (with an octave down pedal so my guitar is also a bass)
Acoustic guitar
Electric bass
Harmonica (straight and cross)
Upright bass
Mandolin

I am unashamed that I play guitar first. In my one man band, I don't play any lead, because I always split the signal so it comes out as a guitar and a bass at the same time (I actually split it four ways). At least I am a guitarist who recognizes that the lead can be sacrificed, but never the bass. Not if you want them to dance. At jams, I play my bass.
