What happened to you today?

A couple weeks ago I posted about my Samsung 59" Plasma taking a dump. Even though I You-Tubed it and it doesn't look that difficult or expensive to repair, I still went and bought a new set. A 65" Vizio. Not as clear as the Samsung but for the price, it's good.

I bought it when was marked down $50 at Sam's Club over Memorial Day weekend. The following Wednesday I noticed it was now marked down $100. Went back to Sam's, showed them the receipt, and they actually refunded the second $50. Props to them. Ain't that big a deal but fifty bucks is fifty bucks.

Well a first for me! I just picked a Tick off my leg! I have never seen one before, but I know that they have gained a foot hold in our area. No idea how long it had been there. Right now, just a small red mark by the bite, I do still have the little bugger. Called the Doc's office as Lyme Disease has been found on some ticks in the area. Doc gave me an antibiotic just in case. Will keep an eye on the bite for any further developments.
Funny part, my wife says "I've always been worried about the dog getting bit" never about you! LOL
Guessing this isn't a big deal for our friends to the south, but where I live, I have never seen one before! Black flies and mosquito, we got yah covered!

My understanding is the ones that carry Lyme disease are very small, like #2 pencil point size, the ones you'll find on a casual inspection are safer. Dunno how correct that is though.

My business partner and I had to go to a different job after our plaster ceilings were not dry. Strangely he had lined up a small metal flashing job on a residential roof, about 15 feet that blew off in a windstorm that needed to replace. We were about 20 feet up from the ground. The pitch of the roof wasn't too bad but because we had to work near the edge laying on our stomach leaning over, I was too heavy to do the job feeling like I was going to literally fall off and slide forward so we tied a rope around his waist and I anchored him while he did the work. A very precarious situation, but our hourly rate turned out pretty good so I guess all's well that ends well...#neveragain.....:smug:

When you have ONE kidney (the other was donated), and NO prostate (that was definitely Not 'donated'), and you realize that (with no warning) you have bright red blood in your urine...
well, instantly, the foolishness that oozes out of Washington DC, and your state capital daily,
"doesn't amount to a hill of beans".
I beat a path to my PCP, who sent me on to my urologist, who scheduled a pair of CT scans for this coming Monday afternoon.
Two Doctors and two Nurses opined that a kidney (singular...:roflmao:...see what I did there?!) stone is the most likely culprit.
Lotsa lemon juice, water, pineapple juice on tap for this coming weekend... spent camping with the chillins. :thumbsup:
