Spent yesterday weaning calves, which I was supposed to do Monday, except I spent Monday pulling the well pump I had just installed Friday, to discover not one, but two bare wires had shorted it out. Again. I really, really hate plumbing!

Eventually, there will be some sort of vine on it.
Driving home from work yesterday there was an accident in the far left (HOV) lane. So what does Arizona DOT do? They close off four lanes down to one lane. Took me 90 minutes to go FOUR miles. Total drive home was over two hours. All my after-work plans down the drain. 
(Ok, I'm done whining now.)

Day off today. The wife volunteered me to collect my brother-in-law from a dental surgery. An hour in crazy busy traffic to get there, half an hour wait including a bloody awful coffee and an argument with a traffic warden, then another hour's drive to his house. Arrived home, fell on black ice at my front door and twisted my knee. Had a cup of tea (because I had run out of coffee), took two painkillers, created a masterful beef casserole and have just crawled into bed for a couple of hours' rest.
