I don't think OP was serious.???? I use Duracell for 9v, and two Duracells for 18v.
I am assuming (probably wrongly) this is at least semi-serious. I use Duracells. But.. be aware they make one that is called Duracell Procell and it's fairly inexpensive. Make for things like theater wireless mics they deliver a good 9v for about two hours and then die a quick and unannouced death. They are cheaper for a use one time. Theater folks use them for one show and toss 'em out.
Not good for instruments or pedals.
