a Precision bass with a reverse P pickup, a Novak BS-DS in the neck position, and a Bass VI-style switch plate with the switches wired to on/off for each pickup, coil tap for the BS-DS, and the last switch being a bypass switch for the master volume and tone.If you could have any bass in the world, even a custom, what would you choose?
I’ll go first:
Black Korina jazz bass, with a clear coat
Wenge neck with ebony fretboard, mother of pearl inlays
Rosewood pickguard and control plate, with ebony knobs
DiMarzio model J’s, all black
With all black hardware
god, I’d be so cool with this bass. Someday…
And another dream in my hands. For over 20 years I had been dreaming about a Semi-Hollow Schecter Model T. Their custom shop was only too happy to oblige! Each masterworks instrument is custom made by hand on a pin router by a world class Luthier.

I have a Burgundy 4003 COY, 2002. Its my number 1, so I understand.
I’m fortunate enough to own it. My Mk 1 Wal which I’ve had since about 1992.

And my ‘79 Pro2E runs it a close second…

If I was in the market for another bass it would probably be this, but it would just be an indulgence… Curse you, Sandberg Configurator!!

I've done that before, on a Rickenbacker. Except on mine, I actually removed all onboard controls as well and made a new pickguard for it with no holes in it.View attachment 4965802
I think I’m gonna wire the switch straight to the jack though because I realize I hate messing with knobs onstage
Fretless M2500. Had to wait until they got a suitable piece of wood in for the top. I want a ridiculous quilt. Same with the flamed roasted neck. So that was part of the delay. My last order option was a little over 6 months.. it was a guitar too with matching headstock. My last option order was March 1, 2020 and I got it in nine weeks ! That was with having it sent back from Quality inspection for missing matching headstock. Since they have gone to "build to order "with less options , I went Custom Shop for this one before I get priced out of EVER being able to afford one . Whatcha wait'n on?![]()
That Gary Grainger is gorgeous!
