What is your favorite bass strap?

Only disadvantage I've found with Mono is that the synthetic material doesn't hold up like leather. Holes get loose, so your bass can fall off if you're not careful.
I would be mounting straplocks on the strap, I was hoping that would last longer than just stretching the hole over the matching button on my basses. Do you think a MONO would hold up under those circumstances? Or am I way off base?

There is only one.... The Fretsling! They made these back in the mid 70's, I have found one other on eBay. They have a unique cut that makes any bass hang tight to your body and reduces any neck heaviness. If I ever lose one, I will copy the pattern onto a new piece of leather.

Used to use the 3" wide Bass Guitar strap from Planet Waves, but then preferred the Gruv Gear DuoStrap Neo when there was time I solely owned 6 string basses, since it could distribute the heavy weight to both shoulders.

Next I got a bunch of 4" wide leather straps made by local craftsman, but didn't satisfied with them as they were not padded enough and the worst was some had bumps in the middle of the straps caused by non-dry gluing process. The craftsman wouldn't take responsibility repairing them despite they were still newly bought.

And quite recently I'm back using Gruv Gear straps: the Duo Neo SoloStrap Neo 4.0 for bass and 2.5 for guitar. Got some of each, mainly the two available black and chocolate colors. The padding is just perfect for long hours of usage and they were reasonably priced especially during seasonal sales.
