What is your favorite bass strap?

I need to find the most comfortable strap for my new fender bass. My old strap Makes me feel like I worked out in the gym. Thanks

I use Clayton 3 1/2" leather straps. I have one for each of my basses. I've used them for many years, and they've never worn out. They're a little "plain-jane", but comfortable. Suede on one side, polished on the other, and you can choose which way to wear it. Personally, I put the polished side against me with the suede out. They sell for around $25.

I’ve had the same two straps for years: A somewhat pedestrian Levy’s black suede and a leather-backed Fender tweed, used for both guitar and bass. They’re maybe 2.5” but I never had an issue with comfort.

About two weeks ago, however, I picked up a Saddleback Leather Co. strap that’s 3”, rock solid and stiff as a board. If it wears anything like the briefcase I got from them, I expect I’ll be using that strap until I die.

Found, asked for, and got a couple of Invalid Link Removed Straps last Christmas. Really beautiful and very comfy for bass or guitar, no matter the weight (all my basses are HEAVY).

Yes, very comfortable and soft. No break-in period. The suede back holds the bass at any angle you want it as well.

That photo I posted is a bit different than mine. The tooling pattern runs the entire length of my strap except for the ends. A reversal of the photo I posted initially.

Here's mine. I think I paid around 35 bucks for it at a local shop.

+1 on neotech. They really do help mitigate back and shoulder pain from heavier basses.

I went through a bunch of padded, bouncy neoprene ones and realized they weren't for me. I settled on this 3.5" padded leather strap by Levy. Comfortable, but ultimately the only thing that solved my weight issue was a lighter bass.

All my basses have them. Wide, memory foam and neoprene.

Super comfortable.

Great company as well.

I had one start to fray on the strap post, new one sent out. No questions asked.

I really like the way these are made and their look, and I ended up purchasing one but I just couldn't get along with it.

I got the one labeled "short", but it wasn't short enough. I'm one of those guys who plays as basses up high and it even after taking out all the extra room in it it wouldn't get short enough.

If it was more adjustable I'd totally go for one.
