What is your favorite dog breed?

Saint Bernard. My current Saint:

9 years old and getting up there but you wouldn't know it most of the time.

Great family dogs, not a bad bone in their body.

Grew up with smaller house dogs so not too big a fan of bigger dogs. Having said that I wouldn't turn down a lab or foxhound if one came along.

I definitely have an itch for a miniature schnauzer someday though.

And for some reason I wouldn't mind a chihuahua either. (does that make me less a man?)

We just adopted a German Shepherd / Yellow Lab puppy. She's still at the "chew everything and crap everywhere" stage but she's shaping up to be a great dog:

Very cute!
I hardly remember that stage for our dog, since I was only 6 at the time we got him.
I'm 16 now and he's 10, but you really can't tell from the way he acts, sure he has slowed down a bit in the past few years but still very youthful
Here is a pic of him from a few years ago

The Keeshond. Pronounced, Kays-hawnd. I have 2 of them. They are very smart and decent watch dogs, but not really guard dogs. Very empathetic. In fact one of them (Bear) will lobby for the other dogs to get a bone. He doesn't want one, but as soon as you give one of the other dogs one, he goes and lays down. I think he is their agent.

This is Bear, he is 13. We also have a 2 1/2 year old Gracie. And a 1 year old mutt named Buster.

"Airdale Terriers can do anything any other dog can do then turn around and lick em". I got that quote from a book on Airdales and it is my experience as well. My Airdales never started a fight but they were always right there to help end it. As a paper boy I was never bothered by dogs cuz they had to cope with "him" and never got close to me. They are not for everyone cuz they are smart with 3 times the energy so without close supervision they get in trouble fast.

The best dog I ever had was a Cocker mix. Circus animal. Could train it any trick in a matter of hours.
