Crap... Tough question.
I guess I have to go with my Nordstrand NJ5 from 2004 for its overall versatility, even though I have other basses that compete in terms of playability and offer great sound, too (but maybe not as much tonal variety).

My #1 changes depending on the gig, and so at various times any one of my seven basses could be my #1. I'm trying to think which one I'd grab first if the building was on fire...even that's a tough call.
Upright, Stingray 5, Dingwall Combustion, Warmoth P-Bass, Clement 5er, Custom Grove P/J bass... #1 is a rotating slot in my house. The Dingwall and the Warmoth P get the top spot most often.

As of today, my Gretsch ThunderJet. The '63 P takes a back seat to it, mainly because I like the short scale on the Gretsch.
I play all mine regularly but the dj5 with audere preamp the most. Just something about that bass that brings me joy.
Tough call, I play my two Sadowskys pretty much 50/50 for my two bands. My Dingwall and Rob Allen are not used quite as much. However, to narrow it down to one bass if I had to, it would be the first Sadowsky I purchased, my 24fret 5 string NYC. It just is an amazing tone machine, and is really light (7.35lbs). It has the same preamp, and is made of the same materials as a NS2 but has black hardware, a matte finish and no inlays.
That matte finish really sings. It's 2011 and most US Spectors from that year have "winged" necks, this is no exception. It's an oddly comfortable, fairly wide, profile neck that just begs to be played.
I own three US Spectors, 2 NS2s and this Forte, the Forte get the most playtime by far.

Did you guys notice any weight increase with the graphite swapover? Any neck dive?
Always have a #1. But it changes every few weeks or months. My Daphne Blue American Vintage Series '64 Jazz with Fender Nickel strings. No, it's the 1982 JV Precision with Labella Flats (the 1954 set), no it's the Musicman Classic Stingray.
I haven't played the stingray for months, before I didn't use the JV for nearly a year, now I play it every day.
I love to have the possibility to switch between different instruments. But I have become very boring since a long long time. All my basses are Leo Fender creations. Never tried a Warwick or other modern designs. Although my first 4 basses weren't Fenders.

My Modulus Q-5 & Bossa Ob-5, I alternate these basses, have a custom Lowend Jazz 5-24 being built currently. Excited about that!
I think the neck weighs exactly the same.
Some people believe the carbon neck is lighter because it could be (like in bicycles or race cars), but it honestly isn't lighter or heavier than the original neck.
The tuners, if anything, would be the only contributing factor. But as my bass sits (can't speak for Gorn), it's not a diver at all. It balances fantastically.
