What is your primary bass? Your #1?

Everyone, well I shouldn't say everyone, but a lot of us have that primary bass, or your best one, the # 1. Maybe you use it for everything, maybe it's retired full time and works part time as a studio only bass. Whatever the story please share. I'm looking for pictures, stories on the history of the instrument, and whatever else.

Like Gorn Captain, I added a Status neck to an already great bass and it became my ACE!

It was my attempt at a Musicman Cutlass I tribute and it's that and so much more! US SUB body, Status Graphite neck, Musicman branded tuners, clear PG. It's just so damn good, I can't NOT play it.
Handofseven supplied the neck, REV supplied the body and thanks to TB, I have a bass that I intend to keep fuh-EVAH!

AVRI '58 Precision. Bought it gently used on Reverb, been very happy with it. With some Labella flats, it's got that sound I've always pursued.

For the past 5 years, and for the next 3 months or so, it is my 2009 Music Man Sterling 4 HS. I had used Rickenbacker 4003's and Music Man Stingray 4's primarily in the past before I got this Sterling. The 1.5" nut and thin, oil/wax finish neck immediately felt like home and bumped it to my #1. I joined a new Modern Country band this fall though, and am looking for a Jazz style bass, so I ordered a Sadowsky Metroline which is in the queue to be built right now and should be here this Spring (that's why I said "for the next 3 months or so...").
