The Fender Precision cream colored with added jazz pickup and badass II bridge. It is pictured on the left side. Equally used is my 2014 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass on the right side that is black with a maple neck.
My customized EB-0. Got it off eBay for $125. Stripped her down to bare wood, routed a bridge pickup hole, and refinished it with red dye. Put in EMG's, added a Hipshot bridge, put some Rotosound flat wounds on her and called it a day. Definitly my go to, made it exactly how I wanted it.
Early 80's MIJ Squire P (medium scale.) I bought it for a song as a back up several years ago.
Took it to a gig and played one song on it and that was it.
It sounded like garbage so I took it apart and left it in pieces in my basement for about 5 years.
I worked on it now and again over the years, half heartedly scraping/sanding the grey spray paint off. A few months ago I figured I'd just put it back together with whatever parts I had laying around.
I've since fallen in love with it and realized that a medium scale fits me way better. It is currently 1/2 apart receiving the Lindy Fralins and Emerson tone controls from my former #1.

1982 G&L L2000-E - Love at first sight.
Well since my 1995 Fender P MIM has the TI jazz flats on it, it makes every gig so it wins the primary spot by default. The other 11 are all strung with round wounds and all see gig time.
it has the mirrored pickguard now to catch the laser lights
Nice! I had a 4001 for 35 yrs (purchased new when I turned 16)... but I'm not familiar with the Laredo... I COULD look up specs... but - how are the knobs configured? What is neck width @ the nut?

I have two no. 1's, alternating depending on the sound requirements; a '59 CS Precision and a Sandberg Forty Eight.

My #1 is this Pete Hilton Reverse Scroll. This is bass is killer from top to bottom. Never played a bass a nice as this guy...
I'm a two-timer - don't want to make one jealous by playing more with the other.
I generally prefer old-school passive fours, but nonetheless keep reaching for my G&L M-2500, which I've had for almost two years. I'm not crazy about the active "sheen" in the tone, but the MFD punch, excellent playability, and rock-solid construction more than compensate. It's just a phenomenal instrument.
Mine is wired V/V/T, but stock they are 3-way switch, volume, tone.
The nut on this one is 1-3/4", but it's from 1997. The specs for new ones says 1-11/16".
They also use bubinga on the fretboard now.
I hate to buck the ol' Fender trend because my Jazz Bass was my number 1 for years but after recently purchasing a Rickenbacker, I think it has become my number 1.
