I am in awe of all those who are working on YYZ!
Still working on Falling Down, but started learning Here And Now by Letters To Cleo so that I would have something fun, easy, and loud to play to work out my Falling-Down-induced frustration.
Also, tinkering with Panic Station by Muse as a nice octave / finger strengthening exercise.
I did some fill in gigs with an oldies recently and had to learn about 60 songs. Here are a couple that had fun bass lines.

I was too, and still am in awe of people who play it really well. I used to look at it and go "Man, my hands will never move like that!" Then I told myself to shut the hell up and just got on with it. It is tricky in spots, but certainly not unattainable.
That's a good one too. I really like a lot of songs from that era.

Right now I'm working on a song called Windowpane, by Opeth. It's pretty challenging (especially the main riff), but manageable and sounds pretty sweet (kind of a nice metal ballad with clean vocals and some tension here and there)! Besides, since my current ensemble doesn't have a guitarist (yeah, go figure) I might have to do the guitar solo myself (on my bass, of course)... or maybe one of the keyboardists. We haven't decided yet.
Maybe it's good time I got an octaver or something.

I freelance so I'm always learning someone else's set list. In the past month to date I have learned and or renewed my knowlege of 52 songs. 30 for a wedding, 7 for an award ceremony and 15 more for my slap bass clinic.
This weekend I tackled Burnin' For You by Blue Oyster Cult and Eternal Flame by The Bangles, both pretty straightforward. Also, tabbed out Humdrum and Humble by Tears for Fears - turned out to be very easy but the whole thing is tuned down a half-step.
