I farted around playing intros, etc, for a bit but the first full song I probably learned to play was "She Ain't Pretty" by the Northern Pikes. Not a bad line, good for a beginner, not overly busy. The tune was popular with us "Canucks" when I was younger. Check it out.

Money. Pink Floyd. As I type this, the pouring rain outside just went from beating to inaudible from inside my house. A bad and loose analogy for the fact that Money, by PF is simplistic as much as it is complex. Complex? Probably the wrong adjective, but exemplifies how simple can be remarkably beautiful. In other news, it doesn't HAVE to be Neil Peart to exhibit what drums are all about. BUT IT DOESN'T HURT!! Money by Floyd is not complicated, but it's IMO a "must have" in one's repertoire if one is to call one's self a bassist.

OK. Enough rambling to justify a stupid answer.

PLEASE don't take this wrong--I'm not correcting you; but not for nuthin'; All Along The Watchtower is Bob Dylan. Just as Blinded By The Light is Bruce Springsteen. FWIW.
