I think it's a 1992 and it was called WB-10 for the P-pup model and WB-20 for the JJ pups one.

What Washburn Bass Do You Own (Database)?

Hah---I just edited my post to maybe 1992 because of the sharkfin headstock while you were writing your own post. We think the same on this.
You see the label says LB-10WH (white).
You're right the WB designation was adopted for the 1994 and over model before it was LB. By the end of 90's it was replaced by the Washburn Shadows series and it had kept the WB designation.

Does this mean we now have to dig up the whole Lyon history to supplement the Washburn history we have dug up?

Looks like on Saturday I should become the owner of a B-2 model. My first "real" bass in 1986 was a white one, and while this one is black...it looks almost identical to how I remember it. I'll put pics up on Saturday - also, it looks like I may be using it on the gig that night. Looking forward to once again owning one (my ex-fiancé was kind of nutty and tossed all my basses way back when...).

Several things. I'm always looking on Craigslist (which is how I found this one), Guitar Center, Ebay, etc...but I just got the feeling to go on CL, lo and behold. On the pics, it seems to be in okay shape, SN seems right (I could give that now, but I don't technically own it yet - and don't want to jinx it) about the timeframe.
The main reason are my two four string basses became 1, due to a nut needing replacing and some electronics needing the same. While I love my 5 string basses, just wrong for the music I'm playing.
I'm doing my best to not get excited yet - but with less than 48 hours to go, it's hard to NOT get excited.
So, confirmed that yes, they still have the bass. I'm meeting them tomorrow between 11:30 and noon. I'm REALLY looking forward to this. Since my separation and divorce, I've had to sell off half of my basses and cabs. Not that I miss them (I really don't to be honest), but it's been some time since I've had a NBD, even if it's a UBD...
Still....TOTALLY excited. Even if the electronics are toast, I've got an EMG P that isn't currently being used....

The pickup is in the regular P configuration on B-2's, but I have 1 or 2 in my archives where the bass escaped the factory installed with reverse P configuration!

Well, fretboard is dry. Really dry. The neck itself is in good shape, I relieved the tension on the neck then reset the truss rod. Electronics wise is stock. Not a fan of the high mass bridge...but I'll change it out. Action wise it's tolerable but higher than I'd like due to the bridge. I'm playing it tomorrow night as my backup. I'm looking forward to spending more time playing it. I'll have to post pics later.
