Been diggin' on The Outer Limits on Amazon Prime for the last two days. When I was younger, I liked Twilight Zone much better than Outer Limits. All these decades later, I finally appreciate The Outer Limits. Some of the special effects and costumes are kinda cheesy, but there are also intelligent, well-written stories in there, too. Just remembered One Step Beyond, another similar show.

Can't remember the name of a similar type 4th show from around the same time period (mid '60's). In the opening or closing sequence (I forget)), I think the camera was in a moving rollercoaster car, passenger's point of view, no one else aboard. Hope it comes to me. Damnable aging LOL

I put on John wick 4 cuz I thought it'd be less dumb than expendables 4. I don't know if there was some young adult fan fiction poopie I was supposed read before hand, because I've seen the first three a few times, but good lord is this just bad. I think the audio of bullets "plinking" off soft body armor is my 15th least favorite element of the movie.

EDIT: I lost it at gold teeth water nightclub fight. Blade 1-3 had some slightly less "Karate in Miami Vice" vibe. What the actual foxtrot were they thinking.

Agreed! I watch the shortened NBC Sports stage recaps every night. Although I have watched the extended coverage for each stage, but that's a lot of hours even if you're not in the saddle. It ain't officially July until I hear Phil Liggett's play by play.
He’s got to reach deep into his briefcase of courage. He’s simply dancing on the pedals!

I'm not surprised. The TV ad makes it look like overkill, so I had already decided to pass on it.
It's very much in the same spirit as the first one, which was always a stupid movie, but it was the 90s. This had the same terrible dialogue and corny characters and felt like a bad 90s movie. The sound was excellent, and the action scenes with tornado chaos were well done. I'll give it that. But everything else was just awful.

This may come as a surprise, but Twisters is a terrible movie. If you're the kinda guy that goes whoooo loudly and often, it might be for you.
Yeah, "Twister" was on TV this weekend and my wife was watching it. It reminded me of how stupid the characters are in it, and how unrealistic it is (I'm in Oklahoma, so I know). No way I'm paying to see the new one.

At my younger brother's suggestion, we started "The Punisher" series on Disney+. It's very good. We're really liking it.

EDIT: So you know, we watched most of the other Marvel shows when they were on Netflix: Daredevil (good), Jessica Jones (excellent!), Iron Fist (bad), The Defenders (okay). We never watched Luke Cage, though. Any opinions there?

Punisher is GREAT, Twister was fun, planning on watching Twisters when it streams. I like dumb and fun. Finished The Boys and I'm caught up on Evil (can't recommend that show enough, a Martin Luther joke really tickled this religious studies major). The Acolyte was not good, but the history was a little intriguing. Going to watch the latest House of Dragons episode this evening.

The new one was apparently filmed on location in Oklahoma. It had some good visuals. It's really just the story, and characters, and logic that were the problems, which are pretty significant problems.

The first film was shot in Oklahoma as well. And apparently the new film has the same problems as the old one. 😆

A good friend who works for the National Weather Service in Norman, OK served as a consultant on "Twisters". Knowing him, I'm sure there were scenes where he just rolled his eyes.

Yep. My brother in law was helicopter pilot on the first one. Lots of down time in Oklahoma motels waiting for real twisters - and then up in the air once there was anything nearby.
