I enjoyed it, too. The vibe reminded me a lot of Bring Her Back from a few years ago. Most modern horror is heavily hyped with little payoff, but this one was worth it.

Wow! I totally forgot that was directed by Peter Medak.
I love a bunch of his movies: The Ruling Class, The Changeling, and Romeo Is Bleeding, are great.
Yeah, I'm digging it alot. There were 7 more episodes listed, gonna watch 2nd episode shortly. Tempted to binge watch 'em all, but decided on an episode an evening. I noticed the accent drift, too. Occasional and fortunately not hurting anything for me. I really like the choice of watching it B&W or in cool vintage-y color which can be changed anytime while viewing on some systems (works on our Roku TV). Being as Noir is in the name, I'm watching in B&W.
I watched Xena: Warrior Princess back in the day with Lucy Lawless (Xena) and Renee O'Connor (Gabrielle). Currently, Lucy is in an Australian-New Zealand series called My Life is Murder playing a Private Investigator. Renee was in one episode as the mysterious wife of a murdered self-help guru. A passing reference was made of a shared bond in their pasts. I like those meta moments LOL.

The more I think about it, the better I like it. They could've made it really dumb and explained things too much and make up a whole lore about what's behind the things that happen but instead they just kinda hint at it and leave the rest up to your imagination. And the girl's performance is great.
Agreed. We don't always need to know why something is happening. it's often scarier if we don't.
Wife read the book, wanted to see “Incredibly Bright Creatures “ last night. I wasn’t keen on it, but sat through the first 30 minutes or so. Thankfully, she bailed. Bill Pullman’s kid is not worthy of Nick at Nite. It was like a Hallmark movie, only worse somehow.

We had been watching "Fringe" while it was on Amazon Prime and recently found it again on Hulu. We just had to figure out where we left off, which was near the end of season 3. Man, we missed that show!
Let's hope they pull out the stops and make the final season as good as the series started. This one was a clunker.

I decided to do some serious channel surfing to see all that Xfinity has to offer, and I stumbled upon the ScreenPix channels. They're part of MGM, and they're free on Xfinity. There are four channels (ScreenPix and ScreenPix Action, Voices, and Westerns). These channels show a very eclectic variety of movies, all uncut and no commercials.
