I pretty much never play with headphones. Neighbours probably hate me. In comparison to the Swollen Pickle though? thats a pretty freakin loud pedal, I just dont want to buy something thats to similar to what I already have yknow? I liked the Pickle Pie B clips of their site, and that has a blend which is cool.

the PPB is pretty much everything cool about the Pickle, in a smaller box, with a blend to give you a bit more range on the toanz. ime.

i'm a huge fan of the TAFM. with the gate mod switch it's not just a beast, it's TWO beasts. lurrrrrrrrrrrrv that thinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng.

The best part about the quirk that the gate switch sets the fuzz to MAXIMUM is you can have it set up almost as a clean boost or light fuzz, then hit the gate switch almost like a second channel. So useful.


Anyhow... here's the latest for me. Getting close to settling on my board for now:

ON ORDER: Expressionator, Second Voice with exp mod, Polytope

GONE: strymon El Capistan

yeah i've liked videos of those TAFM pedals aswell.
Alot of my decision will come down to how easily available something is from here in NZ. Even though the B3K is expensive, I like the feedback I've read about Darkglass' customer service. And the Grey Stache is tempting because I've dealt with Fuzzrocious before and that was a good experience, fast replies to emails asking how progress is going etc. AHH I JUST DONT KNOW. GIVE ME THEM ALL.

Alan the Mountainking just told me my Magnetar is finished and is ready to ship. Way faster than I thought, he quoted me 1 month originally. Took him 6 days, he must be eatin' right!

Edit: Alan just mentioned he expects to have a brand new website up by Monday also!

I have a woolly mammoth clone being built by a guy here in NZ, Im not sure it'll end up on my board yet, its purely for experimenting with at this stage. But you can never have to many tucked away for recording etc.

I quit smoking recently to, so more $$$$ for pedals

it was like the Musket i had. sounded great and thick and DOOOOOOM alone, kinda lost and assless live. i think i'm just not into muff's (giggety). the only ones i've super clicked with have blends.
