That would be brutal. I don't know if I'd be up for the challenge of waiting for that long. What are the waits for?

I'm hoping that the Bass Xciter is worth the cash. I have read some incredibly positive things about it; some people say that that they'll never play without it active. I am hopeful that it will deliver what I'm expecting out of it. If I can bulk up the lows and enhance the highs then it will be money well spent, in my opinion. I guess I'll find out later next week! :smug:

Make sure to let us know what you think. I was on the fence about the Xciter vs. a Sansamp BDDI, went with the Sansamp because I ended up wanting a warm overdrive.

I'm prepping myself for a 5 month wait on a custom Stambaugh 6-string. I placed the order in March (Happy Birthday to me! :D), Mr. Stambaugh said it's scheduled for an August build with September/October completion but several posts/threads I've read make me suspect it'll be longer... :( It's okay though, it'll be worth having such a gorgeous bass. :)

The 2 month wait is for the custom Fromel Seraph I ordered last week. I saw Post #985 of the previous Coming & Going thread and Valerus' Seraph put me over the edge. Wanted one for a long time and seeing that graphic was the icing on the cake. I told Mr. Fromel "to surprise me" with LED/switch placement and "a bada$$ warrior angel."

Believe it or not, I've almost put my custom Stambaugh out of my mind for now. Sadly, knowing that I have two hot pieces of gear on order hasn't stopped my G.A.S. in the slightest. :bawl: lol

I'd be glad to give you an opinion on the Behringer. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the Boss, so I can't compare them directly.

Well, for anyone who didn't hear the clips in the "akai di tone" thread, I got my Behringer BSY-600 in. I plugged it in, and within 5 minutes had a usable DI-like Muse synth tone that sounded great. I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces yet, but my first impression is that all 9 synth modes sound really good with usable tones, and the 2 "wave shape" modes sound crappy. The tracking takes some getting used to, but is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I think I'm gonna pick up an SYB-5 soon so I can compare them, and then just keep whichever one I like better.

I suppose it'll be worth the wait. :bassist: That pedal looks insane! It'll be cool to see how the bass and pedal turn out. Good luck with the wait. :p

I'll definitely post some reactions to the Xciter when I get it. Given the choice between the two, I would also probably have gone with the BDDI. Those sound incredible. I would get one too but I have the VT Bass; I figure I can get close enough to the sound I want to warrant keeping it. Maybe someday I'll pick one up from the classifieds. But I am still excited about the Xciter. :smug:

I'm not expecting too much since my main rig (that I'll have my pedal board with) has a lot of low end and some good highs as it is. I'm fine with subtle. It may actually be better that way. And it wouldn't hurt to have it for when I record. Either way, I'm hoping it'll be good but am braced for its subtlety.

Ok... unless I catch the chronic low gain overdrive dissatisfaction syndrome, I think I'm pretty much set right now. I might have some more stuff for sale in the classifieds later this week depending on how this board overhaul but..

You guys will definitely dig it. It's not that I don't dig my BF-2 I actually love it. But there's nothing like tracking 11 songs, only half of which have been played live before, to get you to streamline your rig and focus on quality essentials that help you reproduce the sounds you need to execute the band's vision on the highest level you can.

I used more chorus than any other mod effect by far. I'm tracking some cool tremolo stuff now but I'm just not using the BF-2 for this record/this band at the moment.
