What's in your case?

I have a separate tool briefcase for all my "necessities"

My Mono Dual case contains -

two basses
two straps
two cables
three sets of strings
lots of picks
headstock tuner
cell phone charger

I also carry a laptop bag, that contains all of my amp's necessary cables, tools, more strings, batteries, and whatever pedals I may need to have on-hand.

A couple picks.

My pedalboard case has extra cables, the power supply, um, that's it.

Anything else would be in my pockets, i.e., knives (Swiss Army and a lockback folder), lighter, money (not much, lol), keys, eyeglasses, small howitzer . I guess I travel light. I DO NOT take stuff to rescue my bandmates. They are pretty good at taking care of themselves, haha!

In my gigging case I have the strap, a spare cord for the wireless transmitter, and 1/4 roll of flattened toilet paper.

For those that have to ask, you truly have not paid your dues in the clubs yet.

Now that I'm at weekend warrior status, playing only one or two gigs a week instead of full touring, I don't seem to carry too much with me. I bring two basses, and a strap for each, so that negates the need for tools, batteries or strings for basses. I do carry a 30ft. Instrument cable in the unlikely event my wireless goes down. It's carried in the secondary bass case.

Flashlight, cables, and power are kept in the racks, so no need to carry any extra gear there as well. I'd say I was pretty lucky, but I do regular maintenance on my gear, so it's kept in great working condition.

So my case candy is kept to a minimum, with an eye on effiency in movement.

I've used the mediums, but hard lasts longer, and they soften as you play them.

Hmm--I store most stuff in a seperate bag--and I normally play at home--so in the case?
A strap, the strap locks (Rubber washers), string cleaner, cleaning cloth, spare cable.

The pill bottle to hold extra fuses is a great idea. I use one of those hard shell eyeglass cases to keep a spare pre-amp tube in for my Hartke LH500

Not much in mine. Usually just two 1/4" cables, power cord for my amp, and clip on tuner.

But, I have to ask @skygzr, where did you get the case for the 9v?

Only got one case. It presently contains-

1. SNARK Super Tight tuner. Tunes everything, doesn't ask for thanks.

2. Sam Ash guitar picks, blue. I don't use picks but imagine I might try it someday, and everybody likes spare picks.

3. Cosmetic wedges. Good to slip between strings for a muted upright sound, also handy for applying/removing makeup.

4. Four Hohner Special 20 harmonicas. C, D, G, and A are in there at the moment, but the number of harps traveling with me changes often.

5. Vox AmPlug 2 Bass headphone amp with a pair earbuds attached. Because just because I have a bass doesn't mean I want to play it for you.

6. Crapload of allen keys. Good for on-the-fly adjustments, intensive adjustments, adjusting other peoples' stuff, assembling ikea furniture, and keeping my paycheck safe from Guitar Center's tech department.

7. Set of mini screwdrivers. See above.

8. Two silver tone knobs from a SBMM SUB. I switched them out for a set of handmade lapis lazuli knobs, but don't really know where to put two loose bass knobs, so they just live in the case

9. $39 in fives and singles. Don't ask.

10. Gum. Orbit, for a good clean feeling.

Duct tape. Apparently it's the bassplayer's role to bring it. Nobody else brings any, everybody needs it. Never leave the house without it.

Allen wrenches, phillips head screwdrivers, the normal stuff like strings and cables, 9V block.

No cases, gig bag. 1 mic and cord, guitar cord, ibuprofen, plugs and pics. That's it. Extra junk is seldom needed but in the truck. I use my phone tuner app so I don't have to carry one.

I don't keep much in my gig bag except basses and strap(s).

All that other support gear is in my gear bag. Then no matter what bass or gig bag I bring, I know I have what I need because I always bring the gear bag.

In my case I only keep my strap, a tuner, a cable, a string winder, and an extra set of strings. I have a specific bag for spare everything's (spare cables, tools, a lifetime supply of earplugs, etc.)

Case just gets a cord and tuner most of the time.
I have two old suitcases for spare strings, extra cords,
tools, etc.

Other things that have been in my case include
herb, rolling papers, a pint of whiskey and a .357 revolver.

Not all at the same time.

Ebay, from where all good things flow. Search for "9v battery case". You'll have to scroll through a bunch of stuff that doesn't look like what you want, but they're in there. They'll probably ship from China.
