What's On Your Workbench?

Question for those that use a corded handheld router: you need to keep the cord from getting in the way, and I suppose most of us would attach it to the ceiling or some other overhead thing. (I used a clothes line at one point.) So here's my question: do you attach it flexibly, so that as you move the router around the cord stays more or less taut? If so, how?

I throw it over my shoulder, keeps it out of the way, and allows me to keep track of it.

What's the plan for pickups/ electronics? Looks fantastic! I really like the F holes, and that top is stunning!

Thank you !

I have an EMG S-7 (made for seven string guitar, extremes range and a bar magnet for string spacing) that km going to use and make a cover for (or use the one in the pic). That, coupled with an EMG BQC Control (V-T-B-Variable mids) should be a cool setup I think.

I’ll probably make a cover from the pau ferro I’m using for the fingerboard

:)

Have you used a router with the cord hanging? I'd be interested to know how that worked.
My router has a three metre cord. When I started bass building, I worked in the garden under the clothes line, and I attached the cord to that line, making sure that it was just shy of taut when the router was at its furthest point.
Does this answer your question?

Please tell me you didn't have to cut those out by hand with a jeweler's saw! I just got done inlaying a bunch of MOP stars for my Lemmy build, hand made in Vietnam, so each one was unique, and therefore a PITA. Came out pretty good by amateur standards, but I know a Pro would cringe a little. How about the recesses, CNC or hand cut with a Dremel Router? I'm always fascinated by how Pros do this stuff, it's usually a forehead slapper for me as I see the most efficient process demonstrated, rather than me winging it based on YT tutorials.
