What's On Your Workbench?

You mean a 'Semi-Automatic Turbine Drive Precision Hand Drill Handcrafts Hole Making Tool Wood Spiral Hand Push Drill Chuck for Micro Twist Bit Jewelry Tool'? :smug:
Ha! The bigger one is Chinesium - about 25 years old now. The smaller one is actually a quality tool; American made and my father used it to build ship models in the 1950s.

And Billy came to me ....

Can’t decide which one is the nicest !
Thank you for the kind words. Since I'm not really set up for spraying at this point (beyond the occasional rattle can usage) I didn't think that bursts were going to be something I could consider. YouTube to the rescue, particularly BigD Guitars and all of his Angelus dye vids. The crazy spalted maple drop top is really a sick looking piece of wood, and most of learning required for that came from right here in The Luthier's Corner, in particular @Bruce Johnson. I'm not certain how quickly I'm going to be jumping back into the spalted wood and/or epoxy arena though.

I wish I had gotten to know you while my son was still living in Salt Lake City Matt, we drove through Ogden every Thanksgiving week. Now that he is in South Carolina we have no reason to go to Utah any more. :meh:

That would have been cool. The home office for the company I work for is in Tacoma. If I’m ever there I’ll let you know.

Nothing on my workbench except a mess and dust for the last few months.
Hopefully that will change soon.
Tomorrow morning I’ll be on someone’s workbench getting some titanium in my neck. hopefully that will give me some relief and stop the buzz up and down my right arm.
Once I get my arm back, I hope to finish some old projects!

Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. Let us know you’re ok when you can.

I’m off the bench. and sent home. The feeling as already returned to my right hand and hope is high for relief of the rest of the symptoms. Hopefully I’ll be back at work on my bench once the bones have set and the splice is solid. View attachment 5457325

Sounds like things went well. Here’s to a speedy recovery and reintroduction to the shop.
