From Scotland's slap bassist,I got one bass guitar
,the jingly-jangly tinny-winny Vigier Graphite 4 string, costing £1,000 ($750-ish bucks)and I've played the bass for 23 years! It was like a trade in thing starting off with a Gibson short-scale copy, then up to a Fender Jazz copy, then traded in as part-exchange on the real thing;a Fender precision...this was thrown out a window by a mad-woman girlfriend and did not survive:¬( He started all over again saving up all he could and the Vigier remains....he is still learning to play!! That said, stay cool.Scotland's slap bassist,"Fallon"

Let's see now:
My amp, Career 50 Watts, about 150 dollars
My bass, a Mayhill, 200 dollars
Some stuff like cables and a gig bag, 50 dollars

A grand total of 400 dollars. That's some time ago, so it's now probably worth less (in money, not in sentimental value).

Anyways I'm no match for most you guys, guess I'll be looking for a job if I ever want to end up with a 6 figure arsenal...

Guess I missed this one...kinda strange thread...

of the top of my head, cash out, not current value,

I think I just crack $10K.

1 Zon
1 Stick (tm)
2 Aguilar
1 SWR
1 Alembic (sf-2)
1 Bag End
1 Substantial investment in cables
1 way too big, shock- mounted, self propelled, unobtanium covered, 12-space rack case that takes 2 1/2 people to lift up a curb. The Baggie looks good sittn' on top though...
