No. I've had somewhere near 200 and many were bought just to try and see if I liked them. Most are gone, and I currently have 23, but I don't think I've ever had more than 30 on hand at a time. I can list all the important ones to me, like the XL2, the Alembics, Status and the Ibanezes I really like.

Most of what I have now will be sold, but the market is at the bottom right now and I don't really need the money, so why give them away? I would give some away to young or disadvantaged people and intend to do that after the move in association with my Church. Plus look for guitars, basses and amps that I can get for little and refurb to pass on in the same way.

I didn't keep track over the years. I did a lot of "try it to see if I like it" types of purchases/sales, a lot of nostalgia purchases, and went through quite a few Fenders to find the right ones.

Every once in awhile I'll come across a bass that I used to own on either here or Reverb. There are a few that I regret selling.
