What's Your Bass/Guitar's Name?

I'd have a hard time naming -off the top of my head- each of the 30+ bases I've owned over the past 25 years. That's why I (like I assume many others here) have kept a list for years in my Talkbass profile.

Off the top of my head, no way.
Probably less than 60 over the years,
Mostly Fender and Lakland, but also a number of Gibsons, a Ric, a few Music Man, and some oddballs.
I currently have:
1966/69 Fender Jazz/Precision Frankenbass
1972/01 Fender Jazz/Precision Frankenbass
2004 Lakland Joe Osborn Jazz
1971 Telecaster bass, modded
1970s Hayman 40/40
1968 Kalamazoo
1970s Epiphone

Yes. But I typically just have one or two basses on hand and tend to keep them.

1. 1960's early 70's Unknown maker Japanese Short scale P copy. I think it had flats. It was terrible, but people would probably pay double it's worth for it now.
2. Peavey Foundation
3. 1970's Rick. Fireglo, Checkerboard binding. My one major regret in selling any instrument. It was magical
4. Fender Blue Flower Pbass, MIJ
5. Dean Rhapsody 12 string
6. Fender Jazz Wine red MIM
7. Schecter Stiletto. Still own it.
8. Peavey Patriot. Sold to a friend due to lack of use
9. Sandberg 48 BCR mashup thing I built. I'll never sell that.

Man I thought I had gone through a lot of basses over the past 20 years but after seeing some of the lists here I almost feel like I need to go buy some more ;)

Yep - never did have enough $ to have more than a few at a time (still don't) so that helps LOL.

In 31+ years of playing I've never owned more than 5 at one time, and now I'm down to 4 after recently selling one.

Past basses:

- Global Les Paul bass copy (first bass, and a MAJOR piece of sh!t)
- Squier II MIK P-bass (first "real" bass, bought brand new)
- Fender Jazz Plus V (first US bass)
- Tobias Killer B 5, early Gibson, lacewood
- Fender MIJ fretless
- Lakland 55-01
- Fender MIM Jazz V Deluxe
- SBMM Sterling SB14
- Fender Geddy Lee MIM Jazz

Current stable:

- G&L L2500 Tribute
- SBMM 'Ray w/ US EBMM neck & Nordy pup/pre
- Squier VM P5. heavy mod w/ Fender humbucker added to bridge
- Alien Audio Lunar 5

Fairly small list, the only two I currently still own are the last two. Wish I still owned the 44-02 as well. Last three are definitely the best of the bunch. Next bass may not come for a while, but will be a Fender AO jazz, or some kind of Am jazz with nitro finish.
