I sometimes drop the pedals just to save time and energy too. If my play time is less than 45 minutes I usually just show up with a small combo and a diIs it wrong for me to be anti-pedal but only due to extreme laziness?
I love pedals, but all that plugging in and stuff at gigs is exhausting. Especially when you have tons of pedals (tuner and chorus).
My pedalboard requires one cable to my DI and/or amp. All the other plugging in I did at home.
