My dream fretless is that Ritter with a cut like Manring's Zon, one that goes all the way to the bridge!
Fender and it's largely because Jaco was the first fretless player I became aware of and he made such a huge impression in the business.
I don't think of a brand, honestly. I do think of some of my favorite players like Michael Manring, Pino, Jaco. I suppose that I could make the connection from there to Zon, Music Man and Fender. I suppose I could also say Peavey since I play a Peavey Foundation fretless.
Really though, brand is one of the last things I think of when talking about a type of instrument. I mean, when I think of classical guitars, for instance, I don't have a particular brand that pops into my head, ya' know?

Despite never having owned one I often think of the Pedulla Buzz Bass. Not sure why tho, I don't care for epoxied fingerboards and my Warwick LX5 is what made me start to enjoy fretless playing.
