I just found this article in the Guardian (UK).

"Readers recommend: songs that express excess.
In music, performance or lyrics, it’s time to cross the line
and truly define what is flamboyant, superfluous and OTT"

Seems appropriate to the thread topic;

Go here. (The [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] section of the article has a lot of links to even more weirdness)

Also, this was weird (I think...);

The Fifth Element Music Video (1997)

I'll go first: there's a full length documentary on Can on YouTube right now. Holger Czukay (bassist) was/is so badass. He was totally the glue that held them together and anchored their freer jams. Good times.
To the OP; I just starting re-reading this thread and I am now discovering Holger Czukay for the first time. As I am already a David Sylvian fan, thanks for that one.

Cheers,
Neal.

I saw these guys play like 12 years ago and it was disturbing in a good way! It was also the first show I saw Lightning Bolt play- also weird and mind-blowing live band!

I just missed them in my country, but I did have the chance to see The Chinese Stars (the band after Arab On Radar) twice. I even accidentaly headbutted the Eric Paul (the singer).

First time was with Sightings:

I wanted to post Johnny Cash doing NIN's - Hurt. Stupid thing is, I'm scared of Johnny Cash and what might happen to me if I do. I just realized, I've been scared of Johnny Cash since the '70's. I don't even know why. I really like him too, in a way. Weird. Him doing 'Hurt' was just too weird for me. Then I heard him doing 'The man comes around' and that was it...

Oh well, here goes;

Johnny Cash - Hurt

Johnny Cash "The Man Comes Around"
