Who else cannot stand jazz basses?!

Trolls have big hands and funny ears. Of course they hate thin narrow jazz necks and their ears dont have the correct frequency response to appreciate the sound.

Jazzes are my Fender's of choice. I prefer the neck over a P's, which to me just feels sort of overly chunky. I also prefer the tone and RANGE of tones I can get out of it. I like a good P, but in my opinion, it's a "One trick pony" that's used for a very specific tone.

Hopefully I am not the only one, but I CANNOT stand the feel of a jazz. I love the sound, but the neck always feels a bit funny to me, I have never played one with low action, and I cannot stand playing on the pickups. Who else is with me?

I like everything about the jazz except the pickups and the neck. A jazz with a precision pickup and late 50's "C" neck would be very nice indeed.

Why does it matter to you whether you're the only one or not? Surely you don't need validation on an Internet message board to dislike something...

Those pickups are fairly narrow, BTW- plenty of room to not play over them, especially if you've managed to refrain from anchoring your thumb or that sort of thing.

Neck is way too skinny for me. And I have small hands.
