Many beautiful basses in this thread :)

Here's mine, a '82 Tokai Hard Puncher VSB 60 ltd. ed.

This is the bass I picked up in Paris a little over ten years ago. I suppose if I really had to sell all but one bass, this would be the keeper because it's very mine, even if it's not my main bass (my P-Bass is).

Anyway, I love it. Very woody sounding (not Jaco-esque). Check out that bridge. I normally don't particularly care for Bartolini pickups, but that's what's in there and they're great for this bass.

It's a bolt on, but the neck is set really deep and it's very tight. The body is bubinga, the neck is maple, the board is ebony. I have no idea what the pickup covers and bridge are made of.

Try.. Greco jazz bass. i want to know if there is anyone here has the same bass i want to know more about this bass. :)

comparing it to my US jazz i had this one is far better :)

That looks exactly like a bass I used to have back in the late '70s/early '80s, down to the pickups and everything. But mine had the name "Orlando" on it rather than "Greco."

I don't know any more about these, but I'd bet money they came out of the same factory.

Greg Curbow was certainly a Master Builder. He was one of my close friends and I miss him dearly. I was honered to make it to the funeral. I can't belive he is gone. :(

BEAUTIFUL AND :

the back wood looks like there is a silhouette of Jesus in the grain --now not only is it a one of a kind, but it just jumped in value to 500,000 dollars.

( remember the EBAY cheese sandwich with burn marks that looked like Jesus that fetched an outrageous amount of money)?

I know a few TB guys have a Gibson Ripper, but this one has a somewhat rare finish, I believe. I bought it in '74 or '75. Everything is stock except for the cheesy thumb rest I added. I removed the bridge cover. The pix were only taken weeks ago.

Two custom color Thunderbirds, a '77 and a '76 and a Fenderbird made from an Epiphone body, Gibson and other aftermarkert parts.
