Who here rocks a single 15?

Always loved 15" speakers my combo from the late 80's to the early 00's, was a Peavey TNT 160 loved that amp never let me down & built to last. Since 2015 I have been using the Fender Rumble 200 Combo, with the vintage switch on this is a great bass combo.
I liked mine a lot, until I got the Bassman Neo 15. So much lighter and better sounding.
Bag End 15 and in days past, B15-N.
I find the Bag End to be quite sensitive to what amp you pair with it. Fer instance, Trace Elliot ELF & Mesa Walkabout - Yes; Markbass Little Mark II, not so much.

Thx for posting that. I always liked BagEnd bass cabs. But there were some heads I could not ever seem to get it to pair and sound that great. And I thought maybe it was just me.

It’s not just you. I really like the Markbass CMD 121 and Micromark combos but couldn’t get any of their heads to be more than just ok with my Bag Ends. Same with some GKs I’ve liked a lot with other cabs. On the other hand Genz Benz Travellers, Aguilar TH350 and Quilter BB800 heads have been pretty satisfying with the S15 and S15-X’s.
I’m rocking an Ampeg Portaflex 800 into a Portaflex 15LF. For small shows. Tons of tone and headroom. Love that setup! For bigger shows I’ll add a Portaflex 15HE or 4x10 HE
I'll be rockin' this once I get a cabinet built for it. It's a 4 ohm FaitalPro 15PR400. As I recall, just before going on a hiatus from gigging in 2015 I spoke with Don Oatman of Low Down Sound about building a lightweight single 15" cab (no mid or tweeter) for this speaker. He was going through some family stuff and we put the build on hold. Next, I was going through some family stuff. I hope things are going well with him. Someday this bad boy will find a real box to live in.

If you’ve still got that combo, try bass knob at 10, mid knob off and treble at@ 6. Then just bring the mids up to your taste. Gets more of a SVT tone if you work the knobs to get there. That’s a great little studio rig that is very versatile.
Yup, I still have the Fender. I've been using it less since I picked up the Ampeg micro vr 2x10 rig as it does the country and 50's rock n roll gigs very well. But we have some gigs coming up where I will need to use the TV15, I'll try the suggestion and see how it feels. Thanks.
I played through various single 15"s for decades. Four years ago bought a GreenBoy fearless f112H (12, 6 & horn). It has punch & clarity I've not heard before. If I need more volume I DI through the pa and foldback. I'd consider a 4x10, but no more 15 for me.
Acoustic controls 3rd gen 404, 1x15, 4 ohm with matching 120 head was my main for a long time. It was a downsize at the time. I could get into the gig in one trip. Head in one hand, cab in the other, bass in a gig bag over my back.

I retired from gigging 2 years ago but kept this one to use in the studio.
85 watt Fender Showman on a custom built 1x15 clone cab (15" deep) with an E-V 15BX 400W speaker. I used it at my last onstage gig that was in a warehouse, volume at 5, great tube tone and plenty of volume.
