I'll second that, Zachary's vids are my first go to with gear.

+1 on Zach's demos. Clear explanations, well structured, demonstrates the full range of useable settings (not aimless knob twiddling) and I love the stacking of different pedals. It probably helps that I dig those synth bass tones

Curious to see who people are turning to these days to listen to demos. I have long since abandoned Excane due to his very particular and idiosyncratic tone. I'm starting to feel the same way about Hunter too. I personally find Bassic Gear Reviews the most neutral tone-wise and also the best at giving us the full range of the pedal.

My favorite hasnt been mentioned and that the "bass the world" demos but a close 2nd for me is Zach Rizer's demo's and I appreciate how thorough he gets! I don't like the kinda bass he uses, but I get a similar tone with my hands so I find his the most useful for myself.

I also dig (but not as much)Patrick Hunter's demos, but that's because he plays a jazz and that's easy for me to compare to mine (all having dual pickups and passive). Adam Aarts demos are great as well and more thorough than Patrick hunters but I play nothing like the last 2.

I don't mean to be a dick, but I can't watch the mr. Excane demos anymore after finding these other players demos(I'm subscribed to many). It's the way he plays that I can't stand, it's all disjointed noodling like a guitarist would play bass (I believe he actually is a guitarist 1st and foremost)....it's like a bassist that just slaps the whole time.

Really I don't mind talking and lower production value if the person is thorough and giving an accurate, real world represenation with *ok* sound quality....

Also I don't wanna see someone's damn bare *feet* clicking on pedals in a demo, that's just gross!! Put some shoes on for God's sake LOL

I always end up running into this guy, with the terribly unfortunate channel name "Want 2 Check" (like what the hell does that mean, anyway?) But pretty useful resources, reasonably produced videos but very low subscriber count.

I like searching for real people, playing their real basses, in their real houses. Everything else has been produced to some level. Even if they say it hasn't. Its marketing

Kurt and Nate from Converge have a channel simply named DemoVids. Short, sweet, they demo both guitar and bass (most of the time). Plus if you’re a Converge fan like me, you get to dork out on all the riffing

Probably not going to be a very popular one here, but I usually get turned onto something from that pedal show and then I see if I can find some randoms using it on a bass. Ed was great, after that there wasn't really any that I was into.
