99% of our shows have the production included...lucky us...:)

They're always the same house guys and know our show.....also lucky us...:)

I don't like hiring outside production (though I have a couple great guys willing to do it), because I don't like paying commission on an expense. Ex: Rockfist! grosses x-amount, pays a percentage on the whole contract and then pays sound guy out of the net pay...I no likey. Sometimes I am able to work with the bar owner independently to hire a sound system at his expense and we play for ours. No losers......

Ah yes the DJ, how could I forget! Shows up with a vestax and askes how to plug a mic into it for your band.

And the music store owner (they are out there). They'll bring out 90k worth of audio and lighting, take 12 hours to do it just to showcase all the cool stuff for sale. He'll be pulling mics out of the plastic wrappers in the box and the shipping cases will be behind or under the stage. The mix isn't good at all and no one likes it but he's a "friend" of the band getting the guitar player a good deal on cheap strings. Then on monday all the stuff is back on display in the store at full retail!
