why is there no 1176 compressor in a pedal...

So, it will be at least another week before posting my proper review; I apologize but my home and work schedule is just a nightmare these days. What I can tell you today is that the pedal really is excellent and sounds great. It can run on 9v from a battery or a standard supply; however the transformer only engages when you use an 18v supply. Unexpected bonus: it can cleanly drive any power amp by itself! What I am expressly NOT commenting on yet is how it sounds in direct comparison to the real 1176--you'll have to wait for that.

Can't wait to read your review (Even if I own the pedal and I already like it a lot :))

I just put in an order for a transformer equiped version. I really want to try it out and want something that will work well for my martin acoustic. If it's not what I want, Im sure that I could flip it on here to someone who doesn't want the wait. Hopefully I'll see it in a month or so.

Oh yeah, I got it awhile back and love it. I actually like it more for my guitars than my bass. My trusty old boss lmb-3 just works really well for me on bass. I posted my thoughts in another thread......which I thought was this one but, must be another. Not looking to sell, which is odd for me.
