OK. How many people with alopecia areata do you know? My husband has it. I've had two close friends who have it.
Are you aware that hair can fall out and then grow back, sometimes fuller, sometimes less full? Or that it can just become thinner overall, without looking patchy? Either of those explains the current appearance of Jada's scalp. But your first inclination? To assume she's lying. Welcome to my ignore list.
No it doesn't. Most people with alopecia regrow some hair eventually. My husband didn't even have eyebrows or body hair when I met him. Now he has all of that back, but still has hair loss on his scalp. Some people even regain all of it. One of my friends was completely bald but now has a large patch of hair on top of her head.
Why don't you stop offering opinions about things you clearly don't know anything about?

He thinks that because she doesn't have obvious patches she just has a shaved head, and isn't aware that evenly thinning hair and regrowth is also possible, which is clearly what that is.
Another friend of mine was online claiming the same thing, and he should know better than to go head-to-head with me on this subject because he knows full well what we live with here. But since he's my friend I owed him a bit of patience and he's retracted his denials.

Concerning regrowth, this page has tons of info about treatments that can cause hair to regrow, particularly if the condition is caught early. We can assume that an A-list actress has access to good health care and would have been on the phone with a physician the minute she realized she had a problem, so it's quite likely this is being treated and hopefully something is helping. But this is one thing the website says about regrowth:

I think think she looks great! She should feel proud that she still looks smokin' even without hair! I'll never look as good as her with or without hair!
The joke was her making a sequel of the movie, not comparing her to the character. Plus, if her condition were dwarfism and someone had compared her to Little Orphan Annie, should she have felt complimented because of the wholesome and inspiring aspects of the character?
People with good bones and a nice head shape can rock the bald look, but it's less traumatic if it's a choice rather than a response to an illness.
You know Chris would have just turned it into more joking. As if anything less than what Will did would have made a point.
The most hypocritical part is that if Will really had just spoken, all these same creeps who are criticizing him now would have done the same thing. They would have said, if he was really serious he should have done something more. To prove himself a Real Man.
