OK. How many people with alopecia areata do you know? My husband has it. I've had two close friends who have it.Thank you for making my point for me. To question what is apparent before your own lying eyes is off limits because of gender? Got it. How contemptuous of women to harbor such a mindset!
Alopecia destroys the hair follicles themselves.
He thinks that because she doesn't have obvious patches she just has a shaved head, and isn't aware that evenly thinning hair and regrowth is also possible, which is clearly what that is.This is someone's definition of "a full head of hair"? Look at it carefully.

The joke was her making a sequel of the movie, not comparing her to the character. Plus, if her condition were dwarfism and someone had compared her to Little Orphan Annie, should she have felt complimented because of the wholesome and inspiring aspects of the character?as I recall G.I. Jane was a bada$$ woman who saved the day to the complete surprise of all the men who doubted that she could even make it through boot camp.
The joke could have been taken as a compliment instead of an insult IMHO.
People with good bones and a nice head shape can rock the bald look, but it's less traumatic if it's a choice rather than a response to an illness.I think think she looks great! She should feel proud that she still looks smokin' even without hair! I'll never look as good as her with or without hair!
But could Will not have stood up, called out CR’s joke as tasteless due to Jada’s condition, and been able to insult/embarrass CR without resorting to assault? I 100% think so.
In today's world, CLEVER wins the day. One has to be extra sharp to be on cutting edge of comebacks, and timely putdowns...Being a word-smith of sorts, Will missed a chance for some good banter back and forth, and then winning the day. He chose to do what lots of those who aren't clever do, snap and look-a-fool. Anyway, yes very odd thread this is...lol
You know Chris would have just turned it into more joking. As if anything less than what Will did would have made a point.
The most hypocritical part is that if Will really had just spoken, all these same creeps who are criticizing him now would have done the same thing. They would have said, if he was really serious he should have done something more. To prove himself a Real Man.
Sickening
Weird that some people are so upset about a bad joke but support a violent reaction to it.

So you're upset because the more clever one, Chris, should have been allowed to win the argument. By any means necessary, just because he's more clever.
Lovely
Chris Rock is a gentleman of high character.
Unlike most comedians.
Has anyone stopped to wonder why?
