will be interesting to see...but this is something new. I can't recall ever seeing or hearing of someone leaving their seat to slap a comedian over a joke the didn't like on national TV. If it has happened I'd love to see the vid.

Which is what? Keeping in mind Chris Rock declined to file any charges (a fact pointed out in this thread many many times).

Anything. Banning him from the awards ceremony is like banning Slayer from the Country Music Awards. How many movies has Will Smith made that were Oscar worthy? And he's not even ineligible from winning awards.

Wrong. “Ali” and “The Pursuit of Happyness”. That’s just Smith’s nominations. It’s harder to find Oscar-nominated movies that Smith happened to be in but they exist.
"Best picture."
It's a rarity for him to make that caliber of movie. The Pursuit of Happiness came out in 2007.

Like I said, anything. To appropriate Chris Rock's joke... Banning Will Smith from the Oscars is like banning me from Rihanna's ________.
I feel like I might have mentioned this before, but Sam Kinison used to get people fighting mad at The Comedy Store in the wee hours when everyone, including him, was loaded.
It didn't get on nationwide TV or even recorded, since we didn't all have video cameras in our pockets back then.
I prefer not to get concerned over things where I have no control.
