I'm not sure if I'm officially entered or not. I put in my email and the had to tweet with the link above the video. I clicked the like button. Am I good?
Hey guys, Scott here... someone emailed me a link to this thread earlier this morning so thought I'd chime in 
WOW... I can't believe so many people have entered!... the count yesterday was just over 12k entries which is absolutely awesome! Mind, blown! So to everyone who has already entered - massive thanks and good luck!
The Facebook thing...
Yep, agreed. Facebook is a super pain in the ass! Essentially I had to use one of the social media channels to run the competition on because of the viral aspect of it. If I were to run the competition completely internally it wouldn't have the wide reach it's gained. My choices were Facebook, Google + and Twitter. I went with the Facebook option as it's the widest used and wanted to include as many people as possible.
But - I really don't want to exclude anyone at all, the the last thing I want to do. If any of you are techy's and know of any other good competition software that doesn't use Facebook could you private message me as I'd love to have more options for future competitions. Just so you know what I'd be looking for - It'd be great if I could find a software that gives different social media option i.e. share on Facebook, Twitter and Google + etc but, people can also enter without having to be a part of those social channels. I'm not techy at all so I have no idea whether this is even possible or not... but if you know of anything, let me know via pm.

Fear not man, I 1000% didn't start this thread. I have 150,000 subscribers to my website across the different channels and a good handful will be beginners so I expect that's why it could have been their first post. Hopefully not their last

Hey man so sorry you found I was sending you too many emails. Essentially my email chain goes like this - when someone signs up to my website they get sent an exclusive free video bass lesson every other day for 1 week. Then it slows down to one lesson per week. When I began the website I only sent one per week but as I tested it I found that bass players really seemed to buzz from the initial burst of lessons - and from speaking to them about it, the feedback was that the initial burst made them feel like they'd almost been 're-set' and ready to learn. This is due to my first few lessons covering what mind-set to have when practicing and how I approach certain elements of that on a day to day basis. So essentially really helpful stuff. That said, I know that some people would like a choice over when they get sent emails, that's why when the new site gets launched (in under 4 weeks woop woop!) I'll be adding in a check box option so people will be able to choose when they want to receive the lessons and also the frequency.
So fear not guys... I know the Facebook thing is a pain, so for the next competition I'll be looking into some different alternatives. As I said before - if any of you have tech know-how and know of any good software that I could use that isn't Facebook orientated give me a shout via a personal message.
